hi everyone... tot of sharing some things with all of you.

i have submitted the pledge for the church building fund. and i started school last week... so meaning i start to get allowance lah...happily i set aside those money for tithes and the fund... i realise i had little to go by for that week when i paid for my lunch... so i tighten my belt a bit for the next few days.then came saturday... i was helping out at the no apologies as a volunteer... however i had to leave early. BUT, when i left, they gave me an envelope with money... that was ten times the amount of my tithes...

WOW!! NOT DONE YET!!

then my dad gave my another ten dollar(i gave my bucks to my sis andanother 5 to my mum) so being a gud boy i set aside ten percent...which is one dollar lah...went for a wedding dinner on sunday nite... then, after that went home. the next day, i got an angpow for helping out during the wedding... this time God blessed me a hundred folds.... (later i foundout that she actually gave the wrong angppow... but angpow being angpow cannot be returned) so in a short span of one week i managed to reach the amount pledged in a month. well, u might think i am just toking bout money... but what i really want to drive home is faithfulness precedes favour. i told pr foo that i might not be able to make it within a month therefore i tot ofsubmitting the pledge form late. however, GOd showed me that if we would just take the first step, He will then pour blessing in abundance... not just financially, but hey our GOd can do a lot of things....

hello humans... long time no post... but now thati am at it, i make sure ou get a good picture of my life now... let's start... school started on tuesday, but then we have orientation day for 3 days... so meaning until thursday still no class... niwaz, tuesday we picked our courses... for the 1 time in chs history, there r 40 over students applying for five principles... woah, poor physics class only got 14 poor souls... their class is made up of 8 ajks and 6 students... cool rite??

wednesday, we were told that L6B1 n L6B2 cannot be settled yet... coz too many people this year, so they keep streaming and streaming... so to kill time, the teachers decided to ask us to do brain storming... we are suppose to promote the theme "our school, our responsibility" and to think of ways to celebrate the 50th golden anniversary next year... some of the outrageous ideas are... 1. toilet cleaning competition (form 6 as judge) 2. Amazing race cleaniness style... 3. relay cleaning race... oh, i volunteered to help pn felicia to be her chief coordinator of secretary... so now i am known as the secretary general, kofi annan... haihz... another nick name...

thursday, we had a talk wit a speaker from taylor's... *chi yao, ur college, proud or not?* we had a fun time listening... and finally, the name list is out... however, a lot was kicked out even if they have aggregate of 5... there is just too many people... one horrible thing is they change the name of all the classes...

L6B1 bcums L6Sains (pn felicia said st_ _ _ d, fill the blanks yourself, mean old lady)
L6B2 bcums L6B
L6SF bcums L6F
L6A remains...

my teachers are pn felicia, pn wong suee shya, cik leela j dass, bro john chin (no!!!! i wan pn sim)
Pn dayang setiah(who happen to be quite sick and is in hospital) and Pn tan chai tin...

i am in L6S... and there are 37 people in the class... suprisingly, only 13 girls...

tomorow class will start... hopefully i can cope... who am i kidding? with God, sure can wan!!!

i was reading thru esther's blog... i am suprised how God can work at times... with the intention of replying a letter... it became an encouragement; with the intention of reading thru her blog, i was encouraged. life's tough. no doubt about it, but it's the attitude we use to face life that matters. looking back, i have been sulking and complaining to my parents (and God) that why didn't he allow me to go college, didn't allow me to be picked for JPA, Petronas... and all sort of stuff. then, he gave me no apologies training, IDMC conference. all of which has challenged me to move out of the old way of thinking but to really use the brain. i dun wan the atrophy of my brain to happen. He gave me new insights to viewing my life, the world, the people around me... i really thank God for being there for me and planning my life according to His plan. now i am ready with a different mindset to face my life, form 6 and all that is happening. Thank You Jesus.

i will be helping out at life chapel for no apologies this weekend. who's interested to come?

"it is the character that makes a man(or woman), not circumstances."

fideism is to seperate faith and reason... i think i fall in that category... riding on my parent's faith... saying that i am a christian... but not able to defend it appropriately... sad but true... BUT it's not too late to turn back and develop a real conviction that i need to know God and His Word...

went to the dentist yesterday... got my teeth washed... so painful coz apparently i dun haf very healthy gum... got sensitive summore... haihz... had to fill a small hole too... total RM 95!!! WAT? SO EXPENSIVE... no wonder people say dentist make good money...

going to pr eng eng house later... to discuss more about postmodernism... wah... like addicted to the topic liaoz... hahah...

till the next post... allanescence...

hello everyone... just got back from the IDMC conference... i tell you man, it's one different conference. this is one conference that requires human to really use your brain to think... different coz in malaysia all i need is learn to vomit things out... n i stayed at pr eng eng's brother's house... had a wonderful time with the family... and learnt a lot too... for example... (get ready your dictionary if you are not so inclined to big words)

"Postmodernism, as a philosophy, is in fact the emergent rejection of the ideological assumptions of modernism (such as the foundationalism of Rene Descartes(pronounced day-cart) and the enlightenment-humanist reasoning it propagates)

Post modernism is thus an eclectic construct, shrouded in deconstructionalistic and post-strcuturalistic verbiage, based on a hermeneutics of suspicion and an epistemology of uncertainty that leads to the three defining features of post modernity as a cultural mood - ie the incredulity of meta narratives, the propagation of reality as a social construct and the emergence of hyper reality as a post modern phenomenon.

As such, postmodernism is a sad commentary of man's desperate search for meaning; a vain championing of an ideological abstraction which promotes an ideological arbitrariness - a reasoning without reason in the face of human arrogance and absurdity, which ultimately ushers one towards fideism at best and nihilism at worst."
- Rev. Edmund Chan -

just one of a few, it's not just about the philosophy, but how should we, post modern christian live in the world facing all these challenges. in the post modern world, nobody can be sure of anything about anyone. therefore ultimately, everything becomes relative.

to put it simply, post modernism is an eclectic construct that leads to fideism and nihilism. what do you think?

ps... sorry ed wasn't able to go and visit you... sorry ah... next time i go i try to go over to your area k?

hi everyone, just got back from hometown... let me share something really cool with all you guys. i went back hometown, my grandma gave me RM 100 for doing well in exams... cool... although i din get as much like how chi yao always get... but dun compare lah... no fun... niwaz... i think it is a great timing from God to give me the monetary blessing... now i got enough headstart for the building fund, as well as buy my mum Guang Liang "fairy tale " album. SHHH... It's a secret. then, my other grandma gave me singaporean money... actually wanted to change money with her, but then she gave me and din want to accept my money. once again, i am blessed coz i am going down to singapore this thursday till sunday for IDMC conference by Rev. Edmund Chan. just send my passport in today. haha... thank goodness for technology, if i had the old fashioned passport, it wud take 3 days. however, i got the chipped passport, so 24 hours can get liaoz.... haha, realise what i typed still has nothing to do with my title yet? wait, it's coming now...
my grandma(mother's mother) is quite sick now... she couldn't move very well... n her legs hurt really bad... so my mum ask my sis n i to go and pray for her... we started praying n praying... we could really feel the presence of God. it was so strong, my mum n sis began to sing. my grandma began to sing in tongues. her tongues sounded like a baby, crying 'a ba, a ba" to our Heavenly Father. there were words released. n it really spoke to her. it was the first time i felt so close to my grandma. she herself was edified through the words released. she did feel a bit better, but no miracles lah... but i am sure that will change through constant prayer. i felt encouraged so i never dared to pray for adults, and never tried. but thru this experience, i realise God can really use anyone and anything, if we let our heart to. God used me to release words to her that challenge her faith. i myself was challenged to put my faith in Him in all things. Thank You God for always being there. isn't prayer amazing? Have faith! before i go, i leave you with a snippet from the song "hope" from faith evans and twista. it's a rap- soul song. but listen to the lyrics, it's really meaningful...

"with a faith of the mustard seed you can move mountains. only the Heavenly Father can ease the hurt. just let it go & keep praying on your knees at church."
